One may think, why awareness of masturbation. Because it’s not talked about enough. It’s a taboo topic for many and only talked about in hushed tones. This leads to fear, myths, and misconceptions. This makes it necessary to raise awareness and provide effective information around this topic. 


Is it okay to engage in masturbation? I have heard it is unhealthy or wrong 


Masturbation is neither morally wrong nor bad for the body. It helps to release tension and stress. It releases adrenaline, oxytocin, endorphins and serotonin - helping you regulate stress and boost your overall mood. The release of endorphins can also help you lower your blood pressure and act as a sleeping aid. Research shows that regular ejaculation helps men have a better body mass index and a lower risk of prostate cancer, be it through sexual intercourse or masturbation. In females, the muscular attention to the area has also been known to relieve menstrual cramps. And it is the ultimate safe sex!


Is it bad for your relationship?

It is assumed that masturbation while in a relationship would get in the way and negativity impact your relationship. However it can actually enhance your partnership. Firstly, regular masturbation can keep oneself sexually and physically confident. It helps to know your own body and likes to direct your partner towards the same. As for your sexual health, it seems the older you get, the more you should do it (use it or lose it) as it works towards maintaining and improving blood flow and libido.
